Less Invasive Facial Rejuvenation

During my 25 years of practice, I've continued to refine my techniques and explore methods to improve skin quality and slow the skin aging process. Initially, my only options for significant improvement in skin quality were through invasive laser techniques. These could cause considerable discomfort and required a prolonged recovery period. In treating thousands of patients and observing the results of both invasive and non-invasive techniques, I've come to the realization that appreciable results can now be achieved with less discomfort and minimal downtime.

This is why I have developed the Enza Synergy Skin Care Program, an individualized plan founded on three primary principles:

    1. All care must be individualized to address the patient's skin type, concerns and personal expectations.

    2. The individualized program must utilize the best techniques and technology available.

    3. The healthcare professional must fully understand the skin aging process, be knowledgeable of treatments and strive to educate staff and patients.

Skin aging varies in severity and rate depending on several factors including: heredity, the amount of lifetime sun exposure and the presence of any significant skin diseases, i.e. acne. In younger skin types there is minimal wrinkling, good skin thickness and an absence of sun damage, i.e., age spots. As we age, the skin becomes thinner, resulting in wrinkle formation. If there has been excessive sun exposure, irregular pigmentation can occur, resulting in an unhealthy and undesirable appearance.

We have developed the Enza Synergy Skin Care program to:

  • Treat irregular pigmentation.
  • Improve skin thickness and reduce skin wrinkles.
  • Remove any vascular or red blemishes.
  • Prioritize the patient's greatest concerns and treat them more aggressively.
  • Select their level of treatment whether non-invasive, moderately invasive or a more invasive approach, giving them control of their own level of downtime.

We know that combining treatments can actually, produce a better result than if each technique was done separately. With the recent addition of the ProFractional Laser to the Enza Synergy Skin Care program, we can now dramatically impact skin thickness, resulting in a significant reduction in wrinkles and the improvement of facial folds. The BBL component of this new laser can fade unsightly age spots and erase unwanted red blemishes. A non-invasive approach will result in an appreciable reduction in skin aging. A more aggressive approach will result in a more significant slowing of the skin aging process. Our skin will always continue to age, but now the technology is within our grasp to slow the process.

Aging begins the moment you are born. By recognizing normal skin changes and following your personalized Synergy Skin Care program, you will be assured of healthy vibrant skin at any age.

20s & 30s

  • Treat irregular pigmentation.
  • Improve skin thickness and reduce skin wrinkles.
  • Remove any vascular or red blemishes.
  • Prioritize the patient s greatest concerns and treat them more aggressively.
  • Cell turnover slows down.
  • The dermis begins to lose some volume.
  • Collagen fibers are not as tightly meshed.
  • Environmental damage may harm the outer skin cells.
  • 40s

  • The outer layer of dead skin cells becomes thicker; rejuvenation slows, affecting the evenness of skin tone.
  • Collagen production slows, making skin looser and more prone to wrinkles.
  • Expression lines deepen.
  • As the dermis weakens, dilated veins may appear.
  • 50s

  • Skin becomes thinner.
  • Hormonal changes cause a reduction in sebum (oil) production.
  • A decrease in estrogen and an increase in the male hormone androgen may cause breakouts and unwanted hair.
  • 60s & 70s

  • Pigmentation changes lead to discoloration and age spots.
  • Dry skin due to less sebum production.
  • Inherited traits become evident: bags under the eyes, uneven pigmentation or a double chin.
  • Cells in the epidermis become irregularly shaped and precancerous formations may appear.
  • Cells that produce elastin and collagen break down, causing the skin to sag.
